Social services have  undergone a steady development in Madona district. There are 9 social care centers in Madona district  which take care of those who cannot do it by themselves due to either old age or functional disorders  they have. For children neglected by their families we offer one of our care centers or foster parents.

There are two orphans’s homes in Madona district:  “ Ziluks: And Grasi children’s village.

In cooperation with Latvian Children and youth sport federation of disabled people, Madona district specialists regularly organize sports activities for disabled children.

Government  funded aid is available for children who have suffered from violence.

The local governments put a lot of effort in providing  social bonuses to those entitled to them  by law.
