The delegation acquaints with experience of the village renewal

During September 23 – 29 2007 the delegation of chairmen of Madona district local governments and employees of Madona district council went on a journey of an exchange of experience to Rheinland – Pfalz Federal Republic of Germany. The delegation welcoming in Germany was maintained by the leader of Ministry of Internal affairs and Sports Village renewal department Franz Katler and employee of the department Rolf Braun. It has to be mentioned that the cooperation between the Ministry of Internal affairs and Sports of Rheinland – Pfalz Federal Republic of Germany and Madona district council has been developing since 2004. Thanks to the involvement and support of the previously mentioned ministry the delegation of Madona district could visit the Rheinland – Pfalz Federal Republic of Germany for the second time. The first time of the visit was in the year 2005.

Memories of the visit of Weyhe (Germany) delegation in Madona

During July 19 – 25 2007 visited in Latvia and Madona district a delegation from Weyhe district’s town council and a delegation of the friendship association of Weyhe – Madona, delegations of 31 persons. The delegation from Germany was directed by burgomaster of Weyhe parish town council Frank Lemmerman. It has to be mentioned that both the burgomaster and many delegates of the delegation were for the first time in Latvia and Madona district.

The guests acquaints with the experience of the European countries

On June 21 2007 at Madona district council visited a delegation from Vendee region (France) of existent and former chairmen of local governments in order to get to know about the work of Madona district council and the local governments and also to see how people in other European countries live. Before this visit they got experience in Lithuania, Estonia, Poland and Romania.

Madona district council receive guests from Rheinland – Pfalz Federal Republic of Germany

During June 13 – 18 2007 Madona district council received guests from Rheinland – Pfalz Federal Republic of Germany. On the first two days of the visit to the guests of Germany joined also the cooperation partners of Madona district council from Rapla circuit (Estonia). The reception of German and Estonian guest delegations was provided by executive director of Madona district council Ruta Klodane.

Two days full with enjoyable impressions

During November 16 and 17 2006 the lifelong cooperation partners from Aniksciai district (Lithuania) and Rapla circuit (Estonia) were on a visit in Latvia. This was a return visit in honour of cooperation decade between Madona and Aniksciai districts that was celebrated this year in July at Aniksciai and in honour of the 88 anniversary of the Republic of Latvia.

With these words of Rudolfs Blaumanis could be characterized the cooperation between Madona district council and Rapla circuit.

Time is getting on, people change but the cooperation still goes on

During July 11 – 18 2006 a delegation from Coulain (France) was on a visit in Madona to celebrate 15th anniversary of the cooperation with Madona district and to visit the district of Madona within the framework of the program.

Aniksciai – Madona 10 year anniversary of cooperation

In July 6 2006 the Aniksciai town celebrating the coronation day of Mindaugas the King of Lithuania welcomed friends from Madona, Latvia, to commemorate together the decade of signing the interrelations’ cooperation agreement between Madona and Aniksciai districts and to celebrate the 45 year anniversary of the districts’ friendship.
